Coastal Canary Life started for one simple reason: most travel guides about these islands are written by people who flew in for a week, hit the famous spots, and flew home. They tell you about the same crowded beaches and the same tourist restaurants everyone already knows.
I’ve been living in the Canary Islands for years now. Long enough to know which roads lead somewhere worth going, which beaches are still empty on a Tuesday morning, where the locals actually eat, and which “must-see” spots are honestly not worth your time. That’s the difference — and that’s what I want to share with you.

Here’s the funny thing: I live here, and yet these islands still surprise me. There’s always one more hidden cove, one more mountain village, one more tucked-away spot waiting to be found. So no — I haven’t seen it all. Nobody has. And that’s exactly the point.
Think of Coastal Canary Life as my personal logbook — real experiences, honest tips, and the stories I’ve gathered along the way with the people I’ve shared the road with. It will always stay that way: lived-in, honest, and a little bit personal. But it’s also built to keep growing, so the information stays useful, accurate and up to date.
