The south of the island is thalasso country — home to some of the largest seawater wellness centres in Europe, several open to day visitors.

Gloria Thalasso San Agustín

One of the most modern thalasso centres in Europe, set under a huge transparent dome that floods the space with natural light and sea views — a genuine architectural piece by Gran Canarian architect Luis López.
What it offers~7,000 m² of seawater wellness. A 550 m³ heated seawater pool (33°C) with 34 hydrotherapy stations — counter-current swimming, swan-neck jets, microbubble beds, waterfalls — plus dynamic pools at 16°C and 37°C and an aqua-gym pool.
Best forSerious thalasso circuits; anyone wanting the “big centre” experience. Day visitors welcome.

Gloria Thalasso Amadores
Amadores · Mogán — clifftop
Perched on a cliff between Puerto Rico and Amadores beaches, billed as one of the largest thalassotherapy centres in Europe, with an indoor seawater pool opening onto an ocean-view terrace.
What it offersSeawater circuit with 29 hydromassage stations (counter-current, jets, waterfalls, microbubble beds), sauna, Turkish bath and treatment cabins. Main pool accessible for reduced mobility.
Best forDramatic sea views while you soak; pairing a spa day with the Amadores / Puerto Rico area.
⚠️ Heads up: the thalasso centre is closed for renovation from April to November 2026 — check before planning a trip around it.
OM Spa Costa Meloneras (formerly Corallium)

The big, theatrical spa next to the Maspalomas lighthouse. Recently rebranded from Corallium to OM Spa, and known for a genuinely fun circuit rather than just a plunge pool.
What it offersA 4-hour Spa Experience circuit: Himalayan salt cave, Dead-Sea-style floatation pool, African sauna, Turkish bath, reflexology lake, water-bed relaxation room, plus outdoor hydrotherapy pools and gardens.
Best forFirst-timers and couples who want variety — a “wander and try everything” spa.
Why goOpen to non-guests (around €35–39 for the circuit), so you don’t have to stay at the resort.
OM Thalasso Villa del Conde (formerly Corallium)
Lopesan Villa del Conde 5★ · Meloneras
The more refined, sea-facing sister to the Costa Meloneras spa. Around 1,200 m² of thalasso on the seafront, with a strong focus on personalised service.
What it offersSeawater thalasso circuit, private “Ocean View Suites” with their own seawater pools and solarium terrace, and a full massage and beauty menu.
Best forCouples and anyone after a quieter, more premium thalasso with ocean views.

Seaside Palm Beach Spa
Maspalomas — edge of the dunes
